SUMMER RIOT ACT -50 Gms

The Riot Act comes from leaves of 3 different cultivars: The AV2, P312 and B157 – absolutely unlawful assembly! It begins like an AV2 with its Sugary aroma and a bold, refined, woody, fruity, caraway taste; delves right into the deeper, slightly earthy, flavor of P312 giving it a Pu’er character but before that thought can be pursued, it steps right into its most expressive Fruity, tangy form of the B157 with Pomegranate seeds, Herbs with a Sweet-citrous taste. Every switch between expressions of cultivars is spaced with the slight astringency of gooseberries. The tea cools down to a dark cocoa and herby taste. The entire progression doesn’t take long to paint a very-vivid red wine imagery. The Earthy, more rugged notes of the P312 adds a texture to the normally refined AV2, intensifying its taste, while the more expressive aromas of B157 mingle with the refined AV2 give way to more sharper flavors. Fully oxidized, its ‘less-than-red’ brew doesn’t quite give away its bold second flush assembly.

Darjeeling cultivars have complex expressions – the Riot Act is no different, except it retains its distinctions in complexity. It’s like drinking three different teas in a cup without mixing them!
