SUMMER ANARCHY -50 Gms

I call up my preacher, I say, “Give me strength for round five”
He said, “You don’t need no strength, you need to grow up, son”
I said, “Growin’ up leads to growin’ old and then to dyin’
Ooh, and dyin’ to me don’t sound like all that much fun”
I fight authority, authority always wins
Well, I’ve been doin’ it since I was a young kid, I come out grinnin’
Well, I fight authority, authority always wins
-John cougar Mellencamp (Authority Song)

If the concept of Anarchy was lost in the fire of Emma Goldman’s times, then Mellencamp  finds it singing and dancing in the ashes! “How does it all work!?” The Summer that quashes every delicate flavor of Spring, now gives rise to flavors that stand boldly in defiance to the Summer itself?  Tea and Rock ‘n’ Roll was most certainly not on Emma Goldman’s mind when she said “If I can’t dance to it, it’s not my revolution” but she most certainly expected that the idea of Anarchy would one day step out of its political context and fuel the creative chaos that comes bearing reminders to the defiant and resilient human spirit.

It is a bold tea, elucidating a complicated, flavorful idea eloquently, with a vibe of playful defiance – one you can most certainly dance to! Made from large, fully oxidized AV2 leaves and buds, it is the cleanest, most finished revolution ever to be brewed in a cup. The dry leaves have a distinct caramel aroma. Every note has an undertone of Caraway seeds that accentuates the notes itself. The translucent brew smells of woody pine and mild cocoa. The finish is extremely clean with notes of Mango, Spice and Fragrant wood. On really dry days, the notes of Dark honey and Dried fruits like Apricots, with a refined summer woodiness makes it apparent where the aftertaste comes from. Notes of Milk in a Rosewater finish with fragrance of Sandalwood gives it playfully defy the set standards for summer boldness with a hard to describe eloquence – almost as if there is more to the concept of Anarchy than its contemporary meaning.

Brewing Instructions: 3 Gms at 90-95 Degree Celsius for 5- 5:30 Mins in 180 ml.

“Anarchism, then, really stands for the liberation of the human mind from the dominion of religion; the liberation of the human body from the dominion of property; liberation from the shackles and restraint of government. Anarchism stands for a social order based on the free grouping of individuals for the purpose of producing real social wealth; an order that will guarantee to every human being free access to the earth and full enjoyment of the necessities of life, according to individual desires, tastes, and inclinations” – Emma Goldman (Anarchism and other Essays)

Most ideas have strange fates. From inception to fruition, they undergo their own crucifixions and resurrections. What’s crucified is very different from what’s resurrected – that’s how ideas are branded with meanings and buried with myths – but nevertheless ideas await their resurrection, in a different time, as if they themselves want to be set free of the human need to worship and crucify them at the cathedrals of civilization and simply serve at more personalized alter – that of a meaningful life – free of bondage. There’s a concept in thermodynamics, well shrouded in Greek alphabets and mathematical imagery, that says left to themselves things tend to equilibrium by acquiring the most disordered, chaotic state. Order then, is not the natural state of things – equilibrium is. Just like we confuse our emergencies with our tragedies, it’s easy to confuse ‘order’ with equilibrium, – both fulfil the human desperation for stability but ‘order’ ends up establishing authority. Anarchy, then would be the process, order must undergo to attain equilibrium – that is, without establishing authority.
