PRIVATE RESERVE LOT-II – 50Gms

We took our sweet time, and then some, listing this. Until now, word of mouth sufficed well towards consumption of this tea amongst a rather closed group of people. Instead of saying that we don’t have favorites we’ll simply admit to our preference and add that the quality of this tea far exceeds any favoritism or preference.

This indeed is an old fashioned ‘Word of Mouth’ quality  Second Flush Darjeeling Tea justifiable of the ‘PRIVATE RESERVE‘ label and quaintly (and criminally) referred to as just ‘LOT-II’ in the community.

SEVENESSENCE PRIVATE RESERVE LOT-II (of III).

This Darjeeling Second Flush covers one of the widest and the most beautifully complex range of citrus notes in the tea world. Refreshingly Tangy – Orange – lemony – bergamot – tangerine – orange peel /jam – some grapes – are all present to be found. Overall, a Sweet Tea.

Second brew onwards some aromatic woody and mild spice notes come into play and are accompanied with a sweet finish and almost negligible astringency.

We recommend going up to 3 brews with this in the western style starting with a 3 minute infusion and then increasing the infusion time by a minute every time.

The plucking doesn’t need much description!!! One of the finest and most flavorful leaves have been chosen for this. A combination of small two leaf and a bud and whole leaves.

A truly exceptional Darjeeling tea!!
