“If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy, don’t hesitate. Give in to it. There are plenty of lives and whole towns destroyed or about to be. We are not wise, and not very often kind. And much can never be redeemed. Still, life has some possibility left. Perhaps this is its way of fighting back, that sometimes something happens better than all the riches or power in the world. It could be anything, but very likely you notice it in the instant when love begins. That’s often the case. Anyway, whatever it is, don’t be afraid of its plenty. Joy is not made to be a crumb”. – Mary Oliver
There was no hesitation, no hesitation whatsoever, in accommodating this joy of autumn when it came calling. This definitely resides on the Mezzanine.
Indian Autumns are ripe. So ripe, in fact, that it overlaps into two seasons – Sharad & Hemant. Beginning right after the September Equinox and going into December, occurs this ripe, fruity, overlapping season. Cloudless skies, visible moon, changing colors, intoxicating sweet aromas, fuller leaves, crisp air leading right to the falling, rustling leaves – all happen seamlessly.
We mark the mezzanine to fall right around the celebrated AUTUMN FULL MOON. Exactly when the leaves are at their fullest, most pregnant, simplest and sweet.
Meazzanine captures the Sweetness of the Autumn fruity flavor with utmost simplicity. Right from the aroma of the dry leaf to the flavor of the brewed, its delivery is impeccable. And it doesn’t end there – it coats your mouth so that the sweetness lingers and lingers on. Saying that it’s a one in a thousand, if not a million, snapshot of the flavorful simplicity upon which the autumn keeps adding, would be a modest statement. Unequivocally Sweet and fruity with the prominent notes of honey and dry fruits, it is what the autumn flush is about.
You will see what we mean by ‘leaves at their fullest’ in the brewed tea leaves, and some of their sizes will surprise you. We cannot emphasize enough on the similarity between aroma of the dry leaf and the flavor of the brewed tea. The aroma, however, of the brewed tea is much crispier. Take a whiff and you will experience ‘the plenty’ in real time.
“Don’t Hesitate!!…..Joy is not made to be a crumb.”
