Figuring out individual flavors in this autumn flush feels like tying this tea to a chair and torturing a confession out of it, let alone mentioning them. Instead, we suggest, you be led by its prompt and lingering sweetness and go down the rabbit hole.
You will find more flavors and notes layered ceaselessly over the sweetness than we can ever quote, but here’s some ‘direction’ that keeps the surprises honorable and vanities checked.
It’s floral, fruity, tangy, sometimes nutty with notes of honey and raisins – a whole bouquet of flowers and fruits where one is absolutely indiscernible from the other. What is truly surprising about this is that all the flavors and notes are all exuberantly and fluently identifiable, yet you’re not so sure about it after a few more sips.
Made in the month of (mid) November and harvested from the highest elevation cultivars, makes this autumn flush a rarity. We cannot impress more upon its sweetness and its full-bodied finish. It is as thick as autumn will allow and has a starkly different composition from the second flush.
